In this blog, you will find English versions of texts on film, written by José Emilio González. The blog is named after Robert Parrish’s film from 1959, which takes place in México, but it is spoken in English. Likewise, the texts in this blog were originally written in Spanish and published in Mexican outlets, but this are the English translations. Together they make a cartography. In the end, the wonderful country is cinema.

It is named after The Wonderful Country after Robert Parish’s 1959 film. The movie takes place in México, but it is spoken in English. Likewise, these articles have been written in that country and translated by myself to that language. Together these pieces aim to give account of the cartography of a wonderful country: cinema.
